About The Position
The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit is responsible and accountable for providing direct, comprehensive nursing care to patients from admission through discharge. The nurse reviews and documents care provided, patient outcomes, and evaluations of care; follows professional standards of care; prioritizes care in response to changing patient assessments and needs; and communicates ongoing with physicians and other hospital departments. The position is full-time, working 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Requirements
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Kentucky.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Crisis Prevention required within 6 months of hire.

- Recent experience in the specialty.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
