About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Labor and Delivery unit at RMT. The unit is a level IV perinatal center providing high-level care across the spectrum of obstetric patients. Its facilities include 27 inpatient beds, a 10-bed OB Emergency Department, four operating rooms, including a fetal surgery suite, HR transport, and a six-bed PACU. Care takes a holistic approach to the complex medical, emotional, and social needs of maternal and fetal patients. The position is on the night shift. Nurses can develop critical assessment, fetal monitoring, and fetal assessment skills, and receive training in ultrasound-guided peripheral IV placement, the Belmont rapid infuser, the OBERT rapid assessment team, and simulation. Nurses also provide bereavement support to mothers and families and may have the opportunity to join the perioperative team for operating room cases, including complex and fetal surgeries. The unit fosters evidence-based learning, teamwork, adaptability, and compassionate care in a fast-paced environment. A mentorship program supports continued learning, and a Clinical Advisor provides on-unit education in real time. Candidates must have at least one year of RN experience. Upcoming and recent nursing graduates are directed to apply through the IU Health nursing pipeline requisition instead.
