About The Position

Saint Clare's Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit. The nurse delivers safe, direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and works within the scope of practice. The role includes guiding patient and family education and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The Registered Nurse is accountable for care provided to assigned patients and communicates with physicians about changes in patients' clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic results, and symptoms. The nurse must respond quickly and accurately to changes in a patient's condition or response to treatment.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Nice To Haves

• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained current (preferred).
• Previous acute care hospital experience (preferred).
• Ventilator management experience (preferred).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel.
• Maintain standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit.
• Remain accountable for care given to assigned patients.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patients' clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
