About The Position

Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVU). The RN provides and is accountable for comprehensive direct nursing care from patient admission through discharge, working as an on-shift team member to meet the needs of patients, families, and coworkers. The CVU specializes in caring for open-heart surgery patients and uses a universal bed model. The team provides care across the patient journey, including pre-operative teaching, open-heart recovery, cardiac ICU care, and discharge teaching. The unit also cares for general ICU and complex cardiology patients, patients requiring cardiac devices such as intra-aortic balloon pumps and Impellas, and patients requiring cooling after cardiac arrest. New graduate RNs are welcome. This is a part-time, weekend-only opportunity of 24 hours per week, with day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Weekend shifts receive premium pay. The position is benefit eligible, and experienced external applicants may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.

Requirements

Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
ACLS certification required within 12 months of hire.
NIH Stroke Scale Certification required within 10 weeks of hire.
