About The Position

Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for its Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVU). This position works weekend-only shifts plus one weekday, with 36 hours per week on days from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The role is benefit eligible, and experienced external applicants may be eligible for a sign-on bonus. Weekend-only shifts receive premium pay. The CVU specializes in caring for open-heart surgery patients and uses a universal bed model. The team provides care across the patient journey, from pre-operative teaching and open-heart recovery through cardiac ICU care and discharge teaching. The unit also cares for general ICU patients, complex cardiology patients, patients requiring cardiac devices such as intra-aortic balloon pumps and Impellas, and patients requiring cooling after cardiac arrest. New graduate RNs are welcome. The Cardiac ICU RN provides and is accountable for comprehensive direct nursing care from admission through discharge, working as an on-shift team member to meet the needs of patients, families, and coworkers. Requirements

Current Indiana or compact-state RN license.
BLS for Healthcare Provider certification.
ACLS certification within 12 months of hire.
NIH Stroke Scale certification within 10 weeks of hire.
