About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Intensive Care Unit. This is a full-time, 36-hours-per-week position on the day shift, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The role is benefit eligible, and external candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus. The RN is responsible and accountable for providing comprehensive direct nursing care to patients from admission through discharge. As an on-shift team member, the nurse provides direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and coworkers. The Intensive Care Unit is a 16-bed adult medical ICU caring for critically ill patients, including patients with stroke, sepsis, shock states with or without multi-organ failure, and respiratory failure. New graduate RNs are welcome.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact-state RN license.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification.
- ACLS certification, to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
- NIHSS Stroke Certification, to be obtained within 10 weeks of hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive direct nursing care to patients from admission through discharge.
- Function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and coworkers.
