About The Position

Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVU). The role provides direct, comprehensive nursing care to patients from admission through discharge and works as part of the on-shift team to meet the needs of patients, families, and coworkers. The position is part-time at 24 hours per week, works days from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and requires weekend-only work. Weekend shifts are eligible for premium pay. The position is benefit eligible, and experienced external applicants may be eligible for a sign-on bonus. The CVU specializes in care for open-heart surgery patients and uses a universal bed model. The team provides care across the patient journey, including pre-operative teaching, open-heart recovery, cardiac ICU care, and discharge teaching. The unit also cares for general ICU patients, complex cardiology patients, patients requiring cardiac devices such as intra-aortic balloon pumps and Impellas, and patients requiring cooling after cardiac arrest. New graduate RNs are welcome.

Requirements

Current Indiana or compact-state RN license.
BLS for Healthcare Provider certification.
ACLS certification, to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
NIH Stroke Scale certification, required within 10 weeks of hire.
