About The Position

Emplify Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Surgery/Operating Room. The department is a Level 2 Trauma Center with 18 operating rooms and two labor and delivery suites, equipped for a wide range of surgical procedures, including robotic-assisted and minimally invasive surgeries. The department serves patients from neonates through adults and includes RNs, surgeons, anesthesia staff, and surgical technologists.

Operating Room nurses circulate and may scrub during surgeries. They provide one-on-one patient care, advocate for patients, and anticipate their needs throughout surgery. The position is full-time at 0.9 FTE, scheduled for 72 hours every two weeks, with nine-hour shifts. Shifts are primarily days, with some evening and night shifts and the possibility of up to six off shifts during a six-week scheduling period. Occasional weekends, night and weekend call, and a holiday rotation are required.

Requirements

• At least an associate degree in nursing.
• An active RN license to work in Wisconsin.
• Current BLS for Health Care Providers certification.

Nice To Haves

• Prior RN experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Circulate and may scrub for surgeries.
• Provide one-on-one care to patients in the Operating Room.
• Advocate for patients and anticipate their needs during surgery.
• Participate in the night and weekend call rotation, with a response time of 60 minutes or less.
• Work occasional weekend shifts as needed to cover PTO, FML, or vacations.
• Participate in the holiday rotation of 1–2 holidays per year.
