About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Surgery/Operating Room. The Surgery Department is a Level 2 Trauma Center with 18 operating rooms and two labor and delivery suites, using advanced surgical equipment. It provides a wide range of procedures, including robotic-assisted and minimally invasive surgeries, to patients from neonates through adults. The multidisciplinary team includes registered nurses, surgeons, anesthesia staff, and surgical technologists.

Operating Room RNs circulate and may scrub for surgeries. They care for patients one-on-one, advocate for them, and anticipate their needs during surgery. The role is full-time at 0.9 FTE, scheduled for 72 hours every two weeks. Shifts are nine hours, primarily days (6:15 a.m.–3:45 p.m.), with some evening and night shifts and potentially up to six off shifts during a six-week scheduling period. Occasional weekend shifts may be needed to cover PTO, family or medical leave, or vacations. The role includes night and weekend call, with a response time of 60 minutes or less, and a rotation of one to two holidays per year.

Requirements

• Minimum associate degree in nursing.
• Active RN license to work in Wisconsin.
• Current BLS for Health Care Providers certification.

Nice To Haves

• Prior RN experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
