About The Position

The Registered Nurse will join the Gastroenterology team at Beloit Memorial Hospital and deliver specialized patient care while supporting advanced GI procedures. The role involves providing safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care throughout patients’ treatment journeys and collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team to support positive outcomes. The position is 1st shift, scheduled 7 a.m.–5:30 p.m., for 40 hours per week, and is benefit eligible. A sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nursing program; ADN, BSN, or MSN accepted.
Wisconsin Registered Nurse license required at hire; a multistate compact license holder must obtain a Wisconsin license within three months.
Illinois RN license must be obtained within three months of hire.
CPR certification required within three months of hire.
ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in surgical services or gastroenterology is desired.

Responsibilities

Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients throughout their treatment journey.
Assess patient and family learning needs and provide individualized education using verbal, written, and audiovisual teaching methods.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care to support positive patient outcomes.
Monitor patient conditions, interpret assessment findings, and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team.
Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory standards.
Perform and maintain competency in nursing skills and procedures required within the department.
Support patients and families with clear communication, education, and clinical guidance.
Interpret assessment data and develop individualized plans of care that lead to achievable patient outcomes.
