About The Position

IMS is seeking a professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable Registered Nurse to work PRN in its Gastro Lab. The RN facilitates patient treatments in the office and assists physicians with treatment plans while putting IMS’s mission, vision, and values into practice. The role operates under physician supervision and may involve travel and hours outside normal office hours depending on business needs.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in Arizona.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
• Ability to manage multiple changing priorities effectively and in an organized fashion.
• Knowledge of and compliance with HIPAA guidelines, including securing Protected Health Information at all times.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Take patients’ medical histories and vital signs and record the information in the EHR system under physician supervision.
• Examine patients and assist with their treatment.
• Order necessary laboratory tests, track results, and ensure the physician reviews results in a timely manner.
• Record progress notes in the EHR system.
• Instruct and counsel patients on treatment plans.
• Order and administer chemotherapy, including starting IVs, performing injections, and drawing blood samples.
• Travel as required by business needs.
• Work hours that may vary and fall outside normal office hours depending on business needs.
