About The Position

Beloit Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Gastroenterology team. The nurse delivers specialized patient care, supports advanced GI procedures, and collaborates with a team providing healthcare to the community. The position is on the first shift, scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for 40 hours per week. It is benefit eligible and offers a sign-on bonus.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nursing program; ADN, BSN, or MSN accepted.
Wisconsin Registered Nurse license required at hire. A multistate compact license holder must obtain a Wisconsin license within three months.
Obtain an Illinois RN license within three months of hire.
Obtain CPR certification within three months of hire.
Obtain ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire.

Previous experience in surgical services or gastroenterology.

Responsibilities

Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care throughout patients’ treatment journeys.
Assess patient and family learning needs and provide individualized education using verbal, written, and audiovisual methods.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care to support positive patient outcomes.
Monitor patient conditions, interpret assessment findings, and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team.
Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory standards.
Perform and maintain competency in nursing skills and procedures required within the department.
Support patients and families with clear communication, education, and clinical guidance.
Interpret assessment data and develop individualized care plans aimed at achievable patient outcomes.
