About The Position

Responsible for planning, delivering, and managing direct patient care using the nursing process and adhering to nursing practice standards. The role is in the Endoscopy Center and involves care from admission through discharge, including assessment, care planning, teaching, and coordination of nursing care. The schedule is Monday through Friday with flexible scheduled hours and a mixed 8-hour shift. This is a per diem position.

Requirements

• Current registration with the Board of Registration in Nursing for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• BLS certification, unless a current advanced certification such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP is held.
• Strong interpersonal skills to gather information and build relationships that support collaboration within the department and across the organization while providing exceptional patient service.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• GI certification.

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to deliver and manage patient care from admission to discharge, addressing patients’ developmental ages and cultural diversity.
• Perform patient assessments and reassessments according to nursing standards.
• Develop and coordinate individual care plans, including discharge planning and teaching.
• Direct, supervise, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care within the assigned clinical setting.
• Delegate tasks appropriately in accordance with job descriptions and competency levels.
