About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides clinical leadership to staff and ensures compliance with legislative requirements so the community can deliver a high standard of care, services, and quality of life for residents. Calvary St Joseph’s Retirement Community in Sandgate is home to 135 residents and includes a dementia-secure unit, an ethno-specific unit, respite accommodation, and independent living. The role is offered as a casual opportunity, with the posting also noting part-time opportunities.

Requirements

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) (essential).
• Current NDIS check or willingness to obtain one (essential).
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of legislation governing aged care.
• Commitment to contemporary aged care practice.
• Ability to support and lead a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge and experience in assessment and care planning for older people.
• Desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organisation.
• Complete applicable pre-employment checks, which may include reference, work-rights, criminal-history, NDIS/WWCC/WWVP, and health evaluation checks.
• Provide evidence of immunisation as required for the role.
