Part-Time Registered Nurse (Weekends)
About The Position
Hickory Trail Hospital is an 86-bed behavioral health hospital in DeSoto, Texas, serving the Dallas–Fort Worth community since 1988. Through inpatient and outpatient programs, the hospital cares for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. The Registered Nurse is an active clinical leader on the unit in a hands-on behavioral health role. The position requires sound judgment, strong communication, and the ability to adjust as patient needs change. The nurse cares for patients experiencing a range of mental health challenges and helps maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment throughout the shift. The position is part-time and focused on weekends.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program.
- Current license to practice nursing from the Texas State Board of Nursing, or eligibility to receive or renew the license.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
- New graduates are welcome.
