Registered Nurse RN- Telemetry
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides safe, direct patient care in the Telemetry Unit using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse directs and guides patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The nurse is accountable for care provided to assigned patients and communicates with physicians about changes in clinical condition, cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms. The nurse must respond quickly and accurately to changes in a patient’s condition or response to treatment. This is a full-time day position at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois, working three 12-hour shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with rotating holidays. A sign-on bonus is available to qualified candidates; eligibility and payout terms apply and are discussed during the interview process.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
- Complete Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute-care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
