About The Position

The Certified Wound and Ostomy Nurse (RN) plans, directs, coordinates, and provides high-quality, individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process and the benchmark standards of the National Enterostomal Therapy Nursing Association. The role is in the Enterostomy department and reports to the Nursing Director. This is a per diem, day-shift position.

Requirements

• Recent wound and ostomy experience within the past 6 months in an acute hospital.
• BLS certification.
• Certification in Wound Care and Management or Certification in Ostomy Care and Management from a nationally recognized program upon hire.
• Must acquire both wound care and ostomy care certifications within 6 months of being hired or transferred into the position.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• CETN/CWOCN preferred.
