About The Position

Under the direction of Nursing Leadership and Wound Care Services, and in collaboration with other Wound Care Nurses, the Registered Nurse provides wound and skin consultation for patients across the organization. The role designs and provides skin and wound care education and treatment in the acute care setting. It also establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with all patient care disciplines and promotes professional behaviors and standards.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Minimum of two years of current nursing experience, with a focus on wound and stoma care preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential material with maturity, sensitivity, and discretion.
Reading and comprehension skills, including understanding of anatomy and medical terminology.
Ability to function as a member of a multidisciplinary team while handling a variety of tasks and fluctuating workloads.
Ability to work independently and prioritize personal work and the work of others.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Competency handling electronic information and functional knowledge using clinical applications.
BLS certification.
Current New Hampshire RN license.
WCC certification, or ability to attain it upon hire.

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred.
Minimum of two years of current nursing experience focused on wound and stoma care preferred.
