On Call Registered Nurse (M-F + 2 Saturdays) - $10,000 SIGN ON BONUS
About The Position
Concerto Renal Services is hiring a salaried On-Call Dialysis Nurse to provide coverage in the Greater Baltimore Area. The nurse is on call five days a week, Monday through Friday, plus two Saturdays per month. Actual workdays vary according to coverage needs, and the role is eligible for overtime. The nurse is assigned to a specific region and must travel within it and occasionally outside it. Additional base pay is provided for out-of-region travel, and mileage is reimbursed for travel from the home clinic to the work site. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the role provides safe and effective dialysis therapy in compliance with Concerto policies and applicable state and federal regulations. Concerto Renal Services provides sub-acute hemodialysis in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities, with a model focused on convenient, centralized, continuous care for people with end-stage renal disease.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Current state-appropriate or Compact RN license.
- At least one year of nursing experience in any practice area.
- At least three months of dialysis experience.
- BLS Provider certification.
- Successfully complete the Ishihara Color Blindness Test.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct hemodialysis care, perform patient assessments, administer medications, and educate patients about renal health, treatment, and self-care.
- Delegate tasks to dialysis technicians, supervise their performance, and ensure compliance with clinical standards and regulations.
- Monitor patients’ responses to dialysis, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document interventions and outcomes accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to coordinate care, report critical lab results, and support continuity of treatment.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records, complete care plans on time, and follow safety and regulatory protocols.
- Provide on-call coverage five days a week, Monday through Friday, and two Saturdays per month, with workdays varying according to coverage needs.
- Travel within the assigned region and occasionally outside it.
