About The Position

Fairview is seeking a Registered Nurse to support its clinic locations in Brooklyn Park and Minneapolis Riverside. This full-time position is approved for 1.0 FTE (80 hours every two weeks) and works Monday through Friday, with shifts scheduled between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The RN plans, organizes, coordinates, and provides professional nursing care for patients in an ambulatory care setting, following established standards and protocols and providing care sensitive to the unique needs of the ages served by the clinic. As a member of the care team, the RN supports quality, patient- and family-centered care by performing a variety of high-level functions for the healthcare team and patients and families. The RN educates patients and the public about medical conditions, maintains complete, timely, and accurate clinical documentation, and looks for opportunities to improve processes and workflow.

Requirements

RN license in the state of practice; some positions may require additional state RN licenses.

Nice To Haves

One year of previous healthcare experience in an ambulatory setting.
Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

Assess patient needs and identify expected nursing outcomes.
Implement nursing interventions based on the plan of care.
Evaluate care and the patient’s response to interventions and expected outcomes.
Deliver care as delegated by a physician or authorized practitioner to the assigned patient population or individual patient.
Use communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
Continuously improve work processes, the work environment, and the overall experience to serve customers and meet business goals.
Educate patients and the public about medical conditions.
Maintain complete, timely, and accurate clinical documentation for each patient.
