About The Position
Delaware Hospice is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for Kent County homecare in Dover, Delaware. New graduates are welcome to apply, and hospice or homecare experience is not required; training is provided. The RN is an integral member of the interdisciplinary team and provides patient-centered hospice care in accordance with Delaware Hospice’s philosophy, objectives, policies, and the goals of hospice care. The role functions under the direct supervision of the Director of Hospice Services. Delaware Hospice nurses may care for pediatric patients. Specialized training and orientation are available for nurses joining the Katybug team, which serves children from perinatal age through young adulthood in their homes, providing relief from pain and symptoms and practical and emotional support for families.
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in the State of Delaware.
- At least 2 years of oncology, medical-surgical, or home care nursing experience.
- CPR certification required.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and families or caregivers.
- Conduct weekly medical assessments.
- Manage the patient's care plan.
- Explain what patients and families or caregivers can expect and answer their questions.
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team supporting patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
