About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join its Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery Clinic, supporting the Orthopedic Surgery subspecialty. The position is based at the Main Clinic, 2nd Floor, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, with potential outreach opportunities in Onalaska, Wisconsin, and Winona, Minnesota. This is a fast-paced outpatient role involving variety and close collaboration with an experienced team, with a focus on pediatric patients and support for additional orthopedic subspecialties, including trauma, hand, shoulder, and total joint services.

The schedule is 40 hours per week, with eight-hour day shifts between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. There are no weekend, holiday, or call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Active RN license to work in Wisconsin.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a busy orthopedic clinic, focusing on pediatric patients.
• Support orthopedic subspecialties, including trauma, hand, shoulder, and total joint services.
• Perform phone triage and provide patient education.
• Manage EPIC in-basket workflows and MyChart communications.
• Assist with pre-operative and post-operative care coordination.
• Assist with pre-operative and post-operative appointments.
• Perform clinical procedures such as wound care and suture removal.
