About The Position
Loyola Medicine is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for its 32-bed Transitional Care Unit at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital. The unit specializes in nursing care for patients ages 18 and older with stroke, neurological, transplant, orthopedic, and cardiac conditions. Patients stay an average of 2–3 weeks, allowing nurses to connect with them and support their recovery. The role is on rotating shifts. The unit offers a supportive, team-oriented environment and opportunities to manage a wide range of diagnoses and advance nursing skills.
Requirements
- BSN diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing.
- BLS provider certification accredited by the American Heart Association before hire.
- Illinois Board of Nursing license before hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to adult patients in the Transitional Care Unit, including patients with stroke, neurological, transplant, orthopedic, and cardiac conditions.
- Support patients during their recovery and build relationships with them throughout their stay.
