About The Position
Loyola Medicine is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to work on its 32-bed Transitional Care Unit. The unit specializes in nursing care for patients ages 18 and older recovering from stroke, neurological, transplant, orthopedic, and cardiac conditions. Patients have an average length of stay of two to three weeks, offering nurses the opportunity to connect with patients and build relationships during recovery. The position is day shift.
Requirements
- BSN diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing.
- BLS provider certification accredited by the American Heart Association, required prior to hire.
- Illinois Board of Nursing license, required prior to hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to adult patients in the Transitional Care Unit, including patients with stroke, neurological, transplant, orthopedic, and cardiac needs.
- Support patients during their recovery, with typical stays of two to three weeks.
