Registered Nurse (RN) - Transitional Surgical Unit
About The Position
The Registered Nurse will join the 18-bed Transitional Surgical Unit (TSU), a cohesive nursing team that collaborates with a multidisciplinary group of healthcare professionals to care for a diverse surgical patient population. The TSU is associated with the Surgical Critical Care Complex and provides care to patients who need a higher level of monitoring and support in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Nurses can develop advanced assessment, critical thinking, and patient management skills while caring for complex surgical and trauma patients. Requirements
- BSN required, or commitment to obtaining a BSN within three years of hire.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of Stepdown or Progressive Care nursing experience required.
- BLS certification required.
Nice To Haves
- Critical Care experience strongly preferred.
- ACLS certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to a diverse surgical patient population in the Transitional Surgical Unit.
- Care for patients requiring a higher level of monitoring and support, including complex surgical and trauma patients.
