About The Position

The Registered Nurse in the Nursery delivers safe, direct patient care within the scope of nursing practice, using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse directs and guides patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards. The role requires responding quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment and providing a safe environment for patients and visitors. The nurse uses the chain of command when necessary to support patient well-being and appropriate care from post-delivery stabilization through discharge. Mission Regional Medical Center is a 297-bed, non-profit hospital serving the Rio Grande Valley with inpatient and outpatient services. Requirements

Hold a current and valid Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
Have BCLS upon hire and maintain current certification.
Obtain NRP within 30 days of hire and maintain current certification.
