About The Position

The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse (DPC RN) is a licensed professional who demonstrates proficiency and mastery in assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership, and service. The RN delivers patient- and family-centered care in a culturally competent manner while using and promoting evidence-based standards for quality, safety, and service. This position is for Med/Surg Short Stay, with a 23-hour schedule listed as full-time, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. A $25,000 bonus is advertised, with sign-on bonus availability for experienced candidates.

Requirements

Associate degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Registered Nurse license.
Basic Life Support certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
Complete a preceptor class within twelve months of being deemed competent by department leadership for independent practice.
Depending on department standards, additional certifications may be required: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card.
Minimum required experience: less than one year.
RNs hired after the applicable facility-specific dates with an associate degree must complete a BSN within three years of their hire date. The listed dates are February 1, 2012 (South), October 1, 2017 (Bethesda), October 1, 2023 (Boca), and July 1, 2018 (Fishermen’s).
