About The Position
The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse (DPC RN) is a licensed professional who demonstrates proficiency and mastery of core competencies including assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership, and service. The RN delivers patient- and family-centered care in a culturally competent manner while utilizing and promoting evidence-based practice standards for quality, safety, and service. This role is in the Mother-Baby Unit and is listed as full-time, with a 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. schedule. The position offers a sign-on bonus of up to $25,000.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Registered Nurse license.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
- At least 7 months of RN experience in a hospital setting.
- RNs hired with an associate degree must complete a BSN within 3 years of their hire date, subject to the listed exceptions for certain facilities and hire dates.
- Complete a preceptor class within 12 months of being deemed competent by department leadership for independent practice.
