About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides compassionate nursing care in the Pediatric CVICU at Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, Texas. The role involves complying with hospital policies and safety protocols, implementing and monitoring treatment plans, tracking vital signs and clinical changes, and maintaining accurate records. The nurse collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to carry out medical orders and plan safe, seamless patient discharges. This is a full-time night-schedule position. A sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 is offered.

Requirements

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
• Registered Nurse credential from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained before hire or job transfer.
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or professional licensure at the time of hire.
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications.
• At least 1 year of hospital critical care RN experience.

Nice To Haves

• BSN.
• 2 years of pediatric cardiac ICU experience.
