About The Position

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Emergency Department. This is a 14-week temporary position with 12-hour night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM), totaling 36 hours per week. This is a primary position, requiring flexibility in scheduling as the facility does not schedule around other jobs. The pay rate is $75/hr. Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, or Diploma in Nursing.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS & TNCC certifications.
• Registered Nurse license eligible to practice in VA.
• At least 2 years of recent hospital Emergency Department experience as an RN.

Nice To Haves

• EPIC user strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation).
• Adhering to standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice/nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health).
• Utilizing clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
