About The Position
Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Emergency Department. This is a 14-week temporary position with no benefits provided. The role involves 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week) from 7 PM to 7 AM. This is a primary position, and flexibility in scheduling is required as the facility does not schedule around other jobs. The pay rate is $75/hr. Sentara is currently reviewing market compensation for this role, and more specific information will be shared during the recruiting process.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree – Nursing, Bachelor’s Degree – Nursing, or Diploma in Nursing.
- TNCC certification.
- ACLS certification.
- BLS certification.
- PALS certification.
- NIHSS certification.
- Registered Nurse license eligible to practice in VA.
- At least 2 years of RECENT HOSPITAL EMERGENCY DEPT as an RN REQUIRED.
- EPIC user STRONGLY preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation).
- Adhering to standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice/nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health).
- Possessing clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
