About The Position
The Registered Nurse cares for patients recovering from open-heart and vascular surgeries in the Cardiac Surgical Progressive Care Unit (SPCU). The role is part of a fast-paced cardiovascular nursing environment focused on positive patient outcomes, collaboration, and opportunities to learn and grow. The nurse’s performance must align with professional standards of practice and care, the Nurse Practice Act, and Community Health Network’s mission and goals.
Requirements
- Graduate of a nursing school accredited by the NLN, CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA, or three years of related professional nursing experience.
- Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Indiana, as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Demonstrate performance consistent with professional standards of practice and care and the Nurse Practice Act.
- Demonstrate collaboration, delegation, negotiation, and resource-management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent teamwork skills.

- Accountable.
- Self-directed.
Nice To Haves
- At least two years of acute care experience is preferred.
- EPIC experience is a plus.
