About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Telemetry Unit delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse provides direct patient care within their scope of practice and is accountable for the care of assigned patients. They direct and guide patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The RN communicates with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms, and responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.

Nice To Haves

• Previous acute care hospital experience.
• Ventilator management experience.
• Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities
