RN - Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular ICU Stepdown - Multiple Shifts
About The Position
Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implements and monitors patient care plans, monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions as appropriate, and coordinates the work of care disciplines to support well-coordinated patient care. Carries out physician and nursing orders and assesses and coordinates patients’ discharge-planning needs with the healthcare team. The position is in the Cardiovascular ICU Stepdown department at UAB St. Vincent’s East. Multiple schedules are available: full-time day shifts (three 12-hour shifts, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.); full-time night shifts (three 12-hour shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.); full-time weekend day shifts (Saturday and Sunday, two 12-hour shifts, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.); full-time weekend night shifts (Saturday and Sunday, two 12-hour shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.); and PRN day shifts (12-hour shifts, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.). A bonus of up to $20,000 is available for full-time, 7-on/7-off, and weekend-only positions. Eligible positions include benefits such as generous paid time off, paid parental leave, an Associate Assistance Program, and a Tuition Reimbursement Program.
Requirements
- Hold a diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing and have professional licensure at the time of hire.
- Be currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- Obtain BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
