About The Position
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department develops, implements, and evaluates nursing plans of patient care and implements medical plans of care in collaboration with all disciplines. The Pottstown Emergency Department is a 26-bed department caring for approximately 35,000 patients annually. Its team is committed to clinical excellence, patient safety, innovation, and compassionate, patient-centered care. The department supports staff development through specialty education, advancement opportunities, nurse residency support, preceptor development, trauma education, and emergency-care certification, and emphasizes continuous improvement, teamwork, and safe, high-quality emergency care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Complete and maintain all competencies and trainings required for the role.
- Hold a Pennsylvania Registered Nurse Temporary Practice Permit or Registered Nurse License.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- PALS certification.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate the nursing plan of patient care.
