About The Position

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care and advocates for patients to support an exceptional patient experience. The role offers opportunities to influence patient care through collaborative relationships with the direct manager and participation in hospital councils and national nursing initiatives.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN).
• Registered Nurse Diploma.
• At least 1 year of RN experience.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients on admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures and other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document care in the patient medical record accurately, thoroughly, and promptly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patients’ responses.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care in collaboration with medical providers.
• Advocate for patients to support a high-quality patient experience.
