About The Position

Rite of Passage Team is hiring a part-time PRN Registered Nurse at The Cypress Creek Juvenile Correction Center in Lecanto, Florida. Cypress Creek is a maximum-security residential program for at-risk male youth. The program promotes a normalized high school experience, provides a safe environment, and supports opportunities for positive change, achievement, and growth.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the health care of students and maintaining student files. The nurse also educates staff and students about health issues, first aid, infection control, and emergency procedures. The position offers a chance to help create a positive, safe, and supportive environment for youth.

Shifts run between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., with schedules that vary. The position is scheduled for 20 to 30 hours per week. Overnight shifts are not required. Pay is $36.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Have a background in a related health care field.
• Hold a current Florida Registered Nursing License.
• Have two years of medical service experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Pass a criminal background check, drug test, and TB test.
• Meet the requirements to become an ROP-eligible driver, including holding a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities
