RN, Registered Nurse | Outpatient Surgery Center Winona
About The Position
Emplify Health by Gundersen is looking for an experienced RN to join our growing team in the Outpatient Surgery Center in Winona, MN! This role is 0.6 FTE, with 48 hours every two weeks, and orientation will be full-time hours. Shifts are 8 or 10 hours, Monday through Friday, between 6:00 am and 4:30 pm. The position is based in Winona, MN, with potential for hours in La Crosse, WI. The role involves caring for a variety of patient populations from pediatric to geriatric, providing pre-operative and post-operative care for surgical cases including ophthalmology, otolaryngology, general surgery, gynecology, total joint, urology, GI, pain injections, sports medicine, hand, and podiatry. Responsibilities also include starting IVs, administering medications including conscious sedation to GI Lab and Pain Injection Clinic patients, and providing patient education and discharge instructions. Requirements
- RN license to work in the state of Minnesota
- Minimum 2 years RN experience in acute care
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS for health care providers
Nice To Haves
- Wisconsin RN license preferred upon hire, needs to be obtained within 90 days
- ACLS and PALS certification is required within 6 months after hire
- Experience with moderate sedation desired
Responsibilities
