About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the PreOp/PACU role at the AHWFB Ambulatory Surgery Facility plays a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process. This involves delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures, utilizing evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills. The RN leads efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum of care within an ambulatory setting. The Ambulatory Surgery Center is a state-of-the-art facility with eight operating rooms, two procedure rooms, and 32 beds for preparation, recovery, and post-anesthesia care, offering services in general surgery, otolaryngology, orthopedics, urology, and plastic surgery. RNs in this setting lead with compassion, providing top-tier care where patients and families are central to all activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in PreOp/PACU setting required.
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Two years of acute care experience required for clinics.
  • Prefer acute care experience within the last 10 years.
