Registered Nurse Traveler Medical Telemetry
About The Position
Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, Virginia, is hiring a Registered Nurse traveler for acute medical telemetry. This is a 14-week temporary assignment on the night shift, offering $75 per hour. The RN provides competent nursing care using the nursing process and meets the standards of professional practice and performance, including assessment, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, evaluation, communication, collaboration, leadership, evidence-based practice, quality, and resource utilization. The nurse must maintain any requirements defined for the specialty and have the clinical knowledge and skills needed for the area. Sentara is reviewing market compensation for this role; its Talent Acquisition team can provide more information during recruiting.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent bedside RN experience in medical or telemetry nursing.
- Experience with the EPIC documentation system.
- Valid RN license to practice in Virginia.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current NIHSS certification.
- RN degree: ADN, BSN, or MSN.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation.
- Meet professional nursing standards, including ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, resource utilization, and environmental health.
- Maintain specialty-specific requirements and clinical knowledge and skills appropriate to the assigned area.
