Registered Nurse- Medical Telemetry- Days
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to patients on a medical telemetry unit. The role uses the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, directs assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in interdisciplinary care, and collaborates with the healthcare team to support patient outcomes and continuity of care. The nurse also contributes to safety outcomes and a high-quality patient experience. This is a full-time day-shift position at Highland Park Hospital, scheduled 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. for 36 hours, with rotating weekends. Required travel is not applicable.
Requirements
- Current professional nursing licensure in the State of Illinois.
- Graduation from an NLN-accredited school of nursing.
- BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider.
- Prior nursing experience, or CNA experience for a new graduate nurse, is preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is strongly preferred.
- Prior nursing experience; for new graduate nurses, CNA experience is preferred.
