About The Position

The Registered Nurse in the ICU delivers safe, direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role includes guiding patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining ICU standards of care. The nurse is accountable for care provided to assigned patients, communicates clinical changes and diagnostic findings to physicians, responds promptly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response, and maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

Requirements

Current and valid state RN license.
Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current certification.
Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current certification.
At least one year as a staff RN in an acute care hospital.

Nice To Haves

Completion of a Critical Care Course.
Critical Care RN (CCRN) certification.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Critical care experience.

Responsibilities

Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
