About The Position

St. Mary's General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide ICU patient care. The nurse uses the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver safe care within their scope of practice. The role includes guiding patient and family education and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining ICU standards of care.

The nurse is directly accountable for the care of assigned patients and communicates with physicians about changes in clinical condition, including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic study results, abnormal findings, and symptoms. The nurse must respond promptly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response and maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in an acute care hospital.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a Critical Care Course.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) certification.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Critical care experience.

Responsibilities
