About The Position

Registered Nurse position in an ICU float pool. The nurse may float to medical-surgical, telemetry, PCU, overflow, and PACU units when needed. The position has start dates of 11/16, 12/7, and 12/14. The 11/16 assignment is a 13-week contract; the 12/7 and 12/14 assignments are 8-week contracts. An EKG exam is administered on the first day of orientation and must be passed to continue with the contract.

The schedule is 0700–1930, with 36- or 48-hour options available. Weekend work is required, and the nurse must work 3 of 5 holidays. Scheduling requests cannot be accommodated; time off is limited to 7 days maximum, and no requested time off is permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of ICU experience.
• Active California RN license at the time of submission; pending licenses are not accepted.
• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• NIH certification.
• Experience at a facility with 400 or more beds.
• Flu vaccine required; declinations are not accepted.
• Must be available to float.
• No scheduling requests can be accommodated; maximum of 7 days off, with no requested time off during the first two weeks.

Nice To Haves

• PA line experience.
• Swan-Ganz experience.
• First-time travelers are accepted.
