Registered Nurse/ICU
About The Position
Travel ICU Registered Nurse position at a short-term acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center. The hospital has 379 staffed beds. The nurse may float between units and will work with an expected patient ratio of 1:2. Weekend work is required: six weekend shifts to meet unit needs. Block scheduling is not required, and on-call work is not required. Forty-eight-hour schedules are approved. Licensed nursing personnel must wear solid navy blue uniforms or scrub attire; scrub tops may have colored piping. Printed tops are not acceptable except for licensed staff in the Children's Hospital and the specified Women's Services units, which follow unit-specific scrub requirements. Free parking is available in unrestricted spaces in surface lots marked “Employee/Visitor Parking VivPost.”
Requirements
- Travel experience is required.
- ICU nursing experience is required.
- Experience with cardiovascular surgery, trauma, ventilators, chest tubes, central venous lines (CVLs), external ventricular drains (EVDs), neurosurgery, and laboratory interpretation is required.
