About The Position

Nemours is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the 4E, Med Surg team in Wilmington, Delaware. 4 East is a 24-bed general, specialty, and subspecialty medical unit serving many patients who need respiratory or gastrointestinal management. Each single-patient room has oxygen, compressed air, suction, cardiorespiratory bedside monitors, and computers that provide access to electronic medical records and support barcode medication administration. The unit aims to provide high-quality, cost-effective, family-centered care. Daily family-centered care rounds support an interprofessional approach and partnership with patients and families.

The Registered Nurse implements the patient care delivery model for patients and their families and is accountable for assessing, planning, providing, and evaluating care for assigned patients. The schedule is 60 hours every two weeks on night shift, with an every-third-weekend requirement and holiday rotation, including a flex holiday, as needed.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must be eligible for a Delaware State license or compact license.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• PALS certification required within one year.
• BSN preferred and required within three years.

Nice To Haves

• Inpatient experience preferred; a minimum of two years of experience is preferred.
