Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit PT Days
About The Position
Baystate Health is seeking an inpatient Registered Nurse for its 24-bed S1400 acute care Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. The unit cares for adult and geriatric medical patients, including patients who may need telemetry monitoring and those in observation or outpatient extended-stay status. Conditions cared for include Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, psychiatric concerns, sepsis and other advanced infections, falls and syncope, palliative and hospice needs, stroke, COVID-19, and cardiac diagnoses such as atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, and acute coronary syndrome. Medical-surgical nurses provide care to a broad patient population and use organizational, prioritization, assessment, and communication skills. The position is part-time on days, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with every other weekend and every other holiday required.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of RN experience.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Successfully passed the Board of Registration in Nursing Examination.
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification; Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association is listed.
- Associate degree in nursing (ADN) required; a Diploma in Nursing is also listed as required.

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
