About The Position

Sentara CarePlex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Medical/Surgical Cardiac Unit. This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. You will find that teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to ensure the best care for our patients. The unit is a 24-bed Medical/Surgical Cardiac Unit where patients are cared for on telemetry monitoring. The patients are here to determine the next step needed in their care - which may be a cardiac cath, transfer to the heart hospital for surgery on their heart, or having a diagnostic test such as a stress test or echocardiogram.

Requirements

Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
RN-Associate’s Degree, or
RN-Bachelor’s Degree, or
RN-Diploma, or
RN-Master’s Degree
