About The Position

MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based Emergency Department team. The RN uses specialized training, knowledge, and nursing care in a multidisciplinary setting. The role supports an environment where nurses participate in clinical decision-making, communicate openly with colleagues, receive professional development support, and contribute to the future of nursing at MultiCare. The position is 0.9 FTE on an evening shift, scheduled from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m., with rotating weekends.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
• Certification in a specialty area.
• One year of experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
• Apply nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
• Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team.
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care that promotes the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
