REGISTERED NURSE / RN/ PROGRESSIVE CARE
About The Position
The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse who partners with and advocates for patients, families, and significant others by providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support to positively impact patient outcomes in a safe environment. The RN performs a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence and autonomy in nursing practice. The RN uses the nursing process and evidence-based principles to care for a diverse caseload of patients within the department’s scope of service. The RN serves as a guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader, and sentry, and collaborates with and guides care delivered by the interprofessional team. The RN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, the Nursing Code of Ethics, and applicable regulatory standards. Position: Registered Nurse (RN). Department: One Central Med/Surg. Facility: Upper Valley Medical Center. Shift: 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Valid Ohio RN license.
- Current CPR certification at the time of hire.
- Ability to multitask amid constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Previous hospital experience preferred.
